Itinerary
Upon your arrival, a representative from Ranoz Safari Adventures will meet you at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha. Here, you’ll check into the Gran Melia Arusha, a tranquil retreat offering a serene ambiance and exquisite design. Spend the night unwinding and getting ready for the exciting adventures that lie ahead, as you relax in this luxurious oasis of calm.
In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your lodgings in Arusha. We’ll embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, traveling along a well-maintained tarmac road that crosses the gently rolling Maasai plains, dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you’ll see Maasai people in their vibrant attire, walking by the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.
Upon arrival at Tarangire National Park, renowned for its impressive herds of elephants, you’ll begin your safari adventure from the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari jeep. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, including seasonal swamps, vast savannas, and the vital Tarangire River. As you traverse this dynamic environment, you’ll have the chance to encounter a wide range of wildlife, from zebra and wildebeest to buffalo, elephant, and giraffe. If luck is on your side, you might even spot lions stalking their prey or leopards lounging in the trees above.
After an exciting day of game viewing, you’ll head to one of our carefully selected luxury partner lodges. Enjoy a delightful dinner in a stylish restaurant, take a refreshing dip in the pool, and relax in the spacious and elegantly appointed accommodations, designed to offer you the utmost comfort and relaxation.
After breakfast, we will continue with your epic safari – Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha, is so named for the shallow salt lake which covers a good seventy percent of the park's surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons the soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos as well as over 500 other bird species. On our exploration of the park, we will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After another memorable game drive we, with our adventure replete with images of the African wilds to last a lifetime.
After breakfast, we’ll head towards the fertile highlands where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat and corn. Our journey will take us through the mist-covered rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may spot baboons, leopards, or even elephants hidden in the dense vegetation.
As we continue, you'll get a glimpse of the stunning Ngorongoro Crater before arriving at Serengeti National Park by midday. The Serengeti, Tanzania's largest park, boasts a diverse range of landscapes including vast grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains.
Following an extensive game drive through the park, you’ll head to your accommodation for the evening. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Serengeti.
This entire day is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti on game drives. The Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is most famous for the great migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The migration, driven by the seasonal rains, shifts throughout the year. From November to December, the animals move from the wooded hills of the northern Serengeti to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season, from April to June, they make their way back north.
In addition to the migrating herds, we may encounter the Serengeti's resident predators—leopards, cheetahs, and lions—fulfilling their vital role in the ecosystem. The opportunity to witness these majestic animals in action adds an exciting element to the adventure.
After an exhilarating day on the Serengeti, we’ll return to your accommodation for some well-deserved relaxation, a delicious dinner, and a peaceful night’s rest on the endless plains.
After breakfast, you’ll set out from the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Crater. En route, you might catch glimpses of the "Big Five"—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Upon reaching the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed millions of years ago, you’ll be awed by its vast 600-meter depth and coverage of approximately 260 square kilometers. The Crater, home to around 25,000 animals, is renowned for offering some of the best game viewing in Tanzania.
You’ll arrive at the Crater rim before lunch, and after descending into the Crater, you'll quickly spot an array of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and elephants. The Crater also boasts over 500 bird species, adding to the rich diversity of life you’ll encounter. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a rare glimpse of the endangered black rhino grazing in the grass.
Following a delightful lunch and an afternoon of exploration within the Crater, you’ll return to your accommodation for a relaxing dinner and a restful overnight stay.
You will be picked up from your accommodation and drive straight to the airport in time to catch your flight to Zanzibar. You will spend the first night in Stone Town for a day of relaxation with amazing views of the old city. There is a possibility of arranging extra activities such as a day tour in Stone Town including the Old Town guided tour, Spice Tour, and Prison Island. A tour to Jozani Forest can also be organized. All tours and excursions can be arranged at the hotel.
Located in the northern part of Zanzibar, Nungwi is a vibrant village renowned for its stunning beaches. Positioned approximately 50 km from Stone Town, Nungwi has evolved from a tranquil fishing village into one of Zanzibar’s most popular island destinations. It is unique for offering the rare opportunity to witness both sunrise and sunset over the ocean.
Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself in a paradise of pristine white sand beaches and the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. This idyllic setting is perfect for relaxation and exploration. Enjoy the serene beauty of the surroundings and unwind over the course of your 4-night stay in this remarkable location.
You can spend the last hours of your journey relaxing. At an appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight.
